12 NightsDestination: South Africa
A visit to South Africa is not complete without a visit to the beautiful Cape Town, or ‘Mother City’ as we call her, to visit icons like Table Mountain, Cape Point Nature Reserve, Boulders Beach and many exceptional wine farms, to name but a few. Enjoy a world-class safari experience to see the Big 5 in the beautiful Timbavati Private Nature Reserve, also part of the Greater Kruger, and try to spot the rare white lion.
Arriving at the airport in Cape Town, Jon and Jenna were whisked through immigration and baggage collection on to their driver in the arrivals hall, who transferred them to Kensington Place, where they stayed for five nights on a bed and breakfast basis. With plenty of leisure time to kick up their feet or explore all that Cape Town has to offer, the couple enjoyed their complimentary tickets to the Zeitz MOCAA Museum of Contemporary Art, as well as a full-day Cape Point tour, including Hout Bay, Chapmans Peak, Cape Point Nature Reserve, Boulders Beach and the Cape of Good Hope.
Day six of their trip saw the honeymooners head to their Leeu House accommodation in Franschhoek for two nights, taking in wine tastings and awe-inspiring views of the mountainous region. The newlyweds could choose a half-hour Huguenot Fine Chocolates experience, learning about the story of chocolate, a chocolate tasting and a demonstration of how chocolates are made. The Huguenot Memorial Museum and Huguenot Monument offer opportunities to discover the history of the French Huguenots who came to South Africa at the end of the seventeenth century. There are also some excellent wine farms in the near vicinity.
Day nine of their South African adventure saw Jon and Jenna head back to the airport for their scheduled flight to Hoedspruit Airport, where they were collected and transferred to andBeyond Ngala Safari Lodge for a four-night stay. With a cottage all to themselves, the couple could hibernate together, drink in the exquisite views from the lodge or opt for the twice-daily game drives to spot Africa’s most majestic wildlife.
Their final morning on safari, the couple could enjoy a leisurely breakfast and squeeze in a final early-morning game drive before checking out and beginning their journey back home after a magnificent honeymoon.
