A Mozambican Island Honeymoon

With an early start, John and Susie checked out of their lodge and transferred to Nelspruit Airport for a flight to Vilanculos where they transferred to their boat. With no jetty, the adventurous couple waded through the water to reach their boat transfer to the spectacular Anantara Bazaruto Island Resort & Spa. The resort’s world-class understated luxury and elegant design compliment the stunning white-sand shores of Bazaruto Island. Surrounded by palm trees and a turquoise sea, the accommodation is constructed from natural materials such as reeds, soft-fringed thatch and wood, blending harmoniously with the natural surroundings. The honeymooners’ villa offered complete comfort with air-conditioning, screen, an en-suite bathroom, hammock, minibar, a safe and satellite television. With a variety of dining venues, bars, swimming pools and a watersports activity centre, the luxurious Anantara Spa also offered John and Susie a range of pampering treatments with 360-degree views of the Indian Ocean. The couple could opt for additional activities during their stay including: kayaking, snorkeling, stand up paddle board (SUP), sunset dune boarding, whale watching, fishing charters, scuba diving, wakeboarding and waterskiing, an island-hopping excursion, or an island cultural drive.

After a luxurious break, John and Susie transferred back to the mainland by boat to catch their transfer to Johannesburg, then their return flight back home.
